
Events
Culture Through Cuisine will have a multitude of events ranging from marketing-focused events to sample tastings. The 3 big events will focus on a certain cuisine/culture, and the main goal of these events is to provide samples of food, examples of music, and historical context. There will also be marketing events that will aim to increase the total awareness of the 3 main events, at these events, there will be an interactive piece of culture, such as a piece of candy.

Pre-Event Table
This event will be held during the first week of the 6-week Capstone process and will focus on providing sample candies from different variety of cultures. Including Creole, French, and Mexican Candy Samples.

Event 1- Creole Cookin'
This event will be held in the second week of the Capstone process and will be the first main event that will provide Creole cuisine. In this event SMC's very own chef Ester will be making a Creole dish, this will be accompanied by music that is representative of the Creole culture and a historical display of how the Creole dish came to be.

Event 2- Mexican and American Cusine
This event will be held in the third week of the Capstone process and will be the first main event that will provide two cuisines (Mexican and American). In this event, Head Chef Dria will be providing samples of both American and Mexican foods. There will also be a mix of American and Mexican music alongside a historical display of how each cuisine came to be.

Week 4- Event Reminder (Marketing)
This week will not have an event, due to Fall break which could possibly lead to less participation than what is wanted. This means that this week will solely focus on marketing for the last event. The marketing for this event will be a scavenger hunt to create a completed "French face", meaning that there will be a paper cutout face that has multiple things missing from it that if found will complete it.

Event 4- French Desserts
This event will be held in the fifth week of the Capstone process and will be the first main event that will provide two cuisines. For this event, there will be a sampling table of French desserts along with music and a historical display of the French cuisine being provided.

Impact Week
This isn't a physical event but will be a week-long process in which data from the previous events will be collected and transferred to visual data for easy understanding.
