ABOUT ME
My name is Logan Catoe, and like most, I love food. To me, food is more than simply a meal to keep me going through the day, food is so much more than that. In fact, I see food as the enabler of connection, either with other people, ideas, or cultures. Out of the three I find culture to be the most interesting, as I identify with the American Culture (USA). With that being the case, I have seen both personally and from others that I have a lack of interaction with other cultures, which I have since tried to change.

EDUCATION
I received my Associate's degree in Business at Spartanburg Methodist College, and I'm currently working toward achieving a Bachelor's degree with concentrations in Business, History, and Camak Core.

MY CAREER GOALS
After graduating from SMC I plan to enter the business world, in search of a management position. Another career path that interests me is the idea of becoming a history professor at a college or university.
ABOUT MY CAPSTONE
Culture Through Cuisine is the project that I've undertaken, this capstone is an event-based project that will bring foods of different cultures to the SMC campus. There will be 4 events, each with different cuisines, offering a wide selection of cultural experiences for both students and staff. The events will be held in the Fireplace Room located in the Cafeteria, on Wednesday afternoons.
WHY CULTURAL FOODS
Cultural foods were chosen for this event due to the ease of introduction of different cultures to audiences that have not had an interaction with said cultures. Food was also chosen due to the fact that it's easy to present the physical aspects of cultures.
CAPSTONE GOAL
The main goal that this Capstone aims to accomplish is to spread cultural awareness among SMC students and staff. This project also aims to ease the tendency of food stress amount the SMC body.
