About PROJECT: 1GEN

A College Senior Wants to be the Change

Hello! my name is Joshua S. Golden, and I am currently a senior at Spartanburg Methodist College. I am wanting to work in either Higher Education or Social Work. Both of these fields afford me the opportunity to change lives and pay it forward. Project: 1GEN is my official first act of this.

 Project: 1GEN is a club that gives first-generation students on campus to relate with other students, faculty, and staff that were also first-generation college students as well. The mission of this club is to connect students to purposeful resources that champion their academic and social success in college. We value equality, equity, and opportunity in the club.
