About Becoming A Mentor"BAM"

Becoming a mentor also known as BAM is a 6-week mentoring program that is based out of Meeting Street Academy (MSA) with a selected group of 5th graders who will participate in group activities to strengthen communication, problem-solving skills, and team-building exercises. All through S.M.A.R.T goals, the students will map out their tasks step-by-step. I will also get a better understanding of the kids' moods before and after my interactions with the students to see if that improves their overall mood. This revolves around inspiring, changing, and influencing the youth for the better to reach their full potential. This website will follow A senior at Spartanburg Methodist College as he challenges himself into getting to know the students at MSA better and having everyone learn the power of mentoring together.

Education:

My name is Logan Simpson and I am a senior at Spartanburg Methodist College, studying Psychology and Criminal Justice. I am pursuing a career in social and educational settings once I graduate. I want to challenge myself by creating a program from scratch and spreading the news about how mentoring is beneficial and learning along the way.
